Question. Why would any engine, given respectable maintenance need to completely redone at 9500 hours?
My guess in this case is that tractor has way more hours done OR, genuine 9500 hours but engine and consequently tractor dogged to the last, and not given proper maintenance.
Sat in my contractors 6210 last night. 16,250 hours up on it. Original engine, but the guy is fairly on the ball with servicing and such.

True, if a tractor is properly maintained, you should get a minimum of 15000 hours on the engine. Your contractor is doing well with his and obviously takes good care of it.

£10K sterling will come near to €15000 including vat

    here's a 6400 for less money

EDIT, just googled the contact number after seeing the second tractor in the ad. looks like it's a dealer , wonder why he is listing it as private ?

I reckon its worn out, be careful parts for these are expensive.

Any tractor with 9500 hours has its best days behind it, I'd be leaving it where it is. Engine aside, there is a lot that could go wrong with that tractor. The brakes last about 6000 hours so I'd be making sure they've been done. The clutch packs in the power quad can also get dodgy at high hours, and the electrics for the linkage controls are temperamantal at the best of times. You'd be better off paying more money for smaller houes, it would work out cheaper in the long run
