Hi I have read there is a way you can visit Russia for less than 72 hours and you then don't need a visa (which is brilliant as getting the visa seems a very complicated process) so just wondering if anyone has tried this ?

I think the way is through Helsinki in Finland, and there are special boat trips over to St.Petersburg. From what I've read it looks like you are restricted to where you can go once in Russia, and you need to stay with the group (rather than wandering around on your own).

Anyone have any experience of this kind of trip ?

Anyone know any companies here in Ireland that specialise in this kind of trip ? Either the boat journey to St.Petersburg, or a very quick city break in and out of Moscow ?

Cheers and thanks for any advice / information.
