NEED TO GET THIS OFF MY CHEST

Hi lads i know this topic is always brought up, but i'm realy p***ed about this so bear with me:mad:

I was at a site on sat and i had three instances of people not taking hits, two happened within five minutes. Now let me start by saying :

1. both people were serious airsofters and both guys had about a grand's worth of kit on them and they where both in their late 20's and should know better. I'm not talking about two kids that walked on for their first ever games.

2. The first two times the first guy was hit with about a full hi cap mag's worth of BBs from me and two guys on my team and he was about 25 foot from us and we could see BBs bouncing off him and he just stood his ground and return fire.(one of the lads on my team was firing a sniper rifle with a decent scope and he hit him in the tac vest at least five times)

3.The last instance involved a guy climbing into a disused jeep and firing out the door the closing it when we returned fire. The same lad with the snper with me managed to get an amazing shot with it to the top of the head at which point the guy in the jeep cried out in pain. But he refused to walk off it took the marshall to come along and get him out of the jeep.

4. We all know that the marshal's cant't be everywhere at once and the the standard of marshaling on the day was excelent and these instances where nothing to do with them. When we told them they did their best to investigate but the game had moved on at that stage so i cant fault them.

Sorry to go on a bit but normaly you would forgive the odd BB hitting them and not feeling it but this was approx 100+ BBs hitting this guy and he just kept on doing what he was doing and the second guy shouted with pain and got back into the jeep . I am mightaliy p***ed bout this and their where alot of first timers there watching this so called experienced airsofter just disregarding the rules to suit himself.

So don't play with those people again, problem solved. If they show up at a site tell the marshalls you're not going to play because they're there and will take your business elsewhere.

Normaly it dosent bother me but these two guys where taking the p*ss. And im not wasting my time tell-taling to marshals. There was other incidents that happened along with the main ones but im not getting into the he said she said end of things. My main point is these guys should stay at home plinking targets that cant fire back if thats how they are going to behave.:mad:

if you arent going to point it out to marshals then theres no point complaining about it..marshals are there for that reason and if they miss something then it needs to be pointed out to them so they stop it happenin

The worst cheaters are the ones that should know better... they cheat because they DO know better.

Plus, mr tactical l33t warrior man cannot be killed by mere noobs... didnt you know that? they are the best! how dare you think you hit him, your bbs bounced clean off his ego

So you come on boards where absolutely nothing can be done....

I'm sorry to hear it happened to you, but it happens. The only thing you can do is either go to a marshall, if they don't do anything go to the site owner. Theres nothing to be gained by bringing it onto a forum.

Couldn't agree more. People have this attitude that it's the "newbies" that don't call hits. In my experiece it's the more experieced players. Those ones that boss everyone else around.

In this instance i would have put my hand up and walked over to a marshal. I had to do it before and usualy sorts it all out. What ever you do don't scream "take your hits!" . Dosen't help anything and more than often starts fights

I did point it out to the marshals at the time im not going back to the same site to bring it up with them again. As an earlier post said its the ones who should know better are the problem and that is where im most annoyed. As i said these guys had AT LEAST a grands worth of kit on them where in there 20's and there where other first timers (one of whom was with me and had hit this guy several times) there on the day this is the point im trying to make it has nothing to do with the site or marshals it is to do with older more experienced guys show the best of the sport not the worst to younger more inexpeirnced players.

However, be away of the 'phantom hit' number of times marshalling ive had guys scream they hit x repeatedly, and the bbs were 'bouncing off them'

when in reality the bbs fall 10m short, and bounce off the ground.

However, if in doubt, you 'didnt hit them' so keep shooting till your bbs find your target 2 0r 300 rounds later, ones always finds its goal

I have been noticing this an awful lot recently. Recently I have ended up spending more times taking photos at my local site than actually playing so I am spending much more time watching players (By either being close, or zoomed right in trying to get a nice action shot). The amount of times I have overheard players bitching that they could see bbs bouncing off x when I was standing 4 feet away from the guy paying very close attention and I could see very well that the bbs were falling well short.

Just ask the marshal to keep an eye on someone if they are not taking hits, players who don't take hits tend to make a habit of it, they will be noticed again.

Thanks for the advice firekitten. All three of us saw our bbs hit him. i hit him in in the leg where his bdu had come uo and exposed skin and he grabbed it in pain there is no doubt in my mind or the other two lads that where beside me that at least a 100 bb's from two hi-caps and a sniper with good scope hit him. as i said earlier i normaly give the benifit of the doubt to people because sometime you might not feel them but what happened on sat was just a joke .

Question for the OP

Did you raise the issues with the site operator on the day not just the marshals,

site operators are some of the friendlist people ive met in airsoft and are happy to listen and try fix any issues raised while you were playing ,

i know you are peeved

all site's are happy for feedback good or bad

try dealing with it on site before using boards

as i said gatling i called over the marshall that was closest and he did go over and beside him but i was hit and had to go to respawn so i wasnt able to see if he was caught . but having said that its not realy the site operator or the marshals fault if they are not there to see it infairness.

this guy had a few other little stunts after this but he was the mouthy type and i wasnt having a shouting match with him in the middle of a game, you know yourselves the story with handling guys like that.

I have told people countless times not to start threads like this and to sort things on the day. It's totally and utterly pointless ranting and raving on here. If you want to do that kind of thing, post in in the Ranting and Raving forum.

Unfortunately there are a lot of arseholes in the world. Some play airsoft. The best way of dealing with people like this is to tell a marshall. It's no less 'tattle tailing' than it is to call hand ball to a ref in a football match.
