Rear springs bmw 320cd

    Was told there by the mechanic that my two rear springs are broken in my bmw 320cd. Now im not sceptical or anything but he actually told me they were probably broken before he got the car up on the ramp and then later confirmed this to me. How did he know the springs were gone in my car before he got it up on the ramp. i dont seem to notice any problems when im driving it so a bit confused. Will the car be lower to the ground than it should be. Just looking for some feedback on this

    Wouldn't you notice it if the springs were broken?
    Like the rear would be sitting lower and would feel all funny and wobbly when driving... Also should be very soft if you press onto the boot...
    Though I guess it'll also depend on how broken the springs are. If they're completely broken or cracked.

    Did you check to see if the springs are really broken? I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be too hard to spot broken springs...
    And if they are, you should get them replaced immediately.
