    It also says that moderate drinkers live longest. Grand, I'm happy with drinking my entire life, I'll just cut back on it a bit as I get older.

    I'd take this article to say that alcohol isn't good for you, it just helps you live a happier life, which is in turn good for you. It still causes damage to your brain :(.

    That's impossible! Heavy drinking can lead to a lot of serious illnesses. Then again it all depends on the person and its possible that heavy drinkers can outlive nondrinkers.
