Hi, has anyone any experience with bidding on German or any other International Ebay sites?

I'm trying to bid on an item on German Ebay, but it won't let me put in my maximum bid.
I keep getting the same message:

iconError_32x32.gifYou must correct the following information before proceeding : s.gifbullet_blk.gif Your maximum bid : Please enter a valid Maximalgebotsbetrag .

I keep entering the bid and getting that message! I'm logged in using my Irish login which seems fine.

    Any ideas?? :(

I have bought a fair few items from ebay.de with no trouble, post a link to the auction so we can check it out.

Hi rubadub. After I posted my question I did a Worldwide advanced search on Irish Ebay and found my item. I was able to bid for it that way.
I still don't know why the German site wouldn't let me bid, but I got round the problem! Thanks for the reply.

Did you sign in to the German ebay?

could it be that they use a "," instead of a "." for currency amounts (not sure if this is the case in germany) so a max bid of 3euro would be 3,00

Inbox: Yeah I signed in using my Irish Ebay login and that seemed fine.

    mid:

Improve Your maximum bid:EUR (Enter more thanEUR 11.00 a )

That's what it says now (on the German site) after my bid from our ebay. It uses the "." But strangely, it said earlier "Enter U.S EUR 2.09 a" before my bid.
