Hi all, I have an Acer Aspire one model number zg5. It runs on linux. Up until recently I had no problem connecting to the internet and opening the browser. Two days ago when I booted up the netbook, the wireless internet connected no problem, but when I click on the firefox logo the loading icon keeps going but won't open the firefox page. Anyone have any idea what the problem is? It's driving me demented. Thanks in advance!

    Use IE to download chrome?

    Or uninstall reinstall

Thank you for the reply. :) As far as I know it isn't possible to download Ie on it as it's a linux machine. Also I can't open the browser to actually download anything :(

Sorry re the uninstall reinstall issue, I'm not sure how to go about it as the netbook has no cd drive. Apologies but I'm not a bit technically minded.

Didn't spot linux when I read that. Can you download the install file for a browser on a different compute and transfer it?

Use a usb memory stick to transfer it

    http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.6.8&os=linux&lang=en-GB

that should be firefox for any linux.

stick it onto a usb stick,

uninstall the current version of firefox and instal the file the link gives you.
