Hi everyone, I havent got a clue about photography, so I was wondering could anyone here help me, I got my picture taken with Sean Kelly from my phone, and the image is a bit grainy, especially around the faces, I was hoping someone here could do something with the pic, to make it more appealing to the eye.

    This is the original pic

This was the best I could do with it:
    attachment.php?attachmentid=125984&stc=1&d=1283192575

I may have over sharpened it.

looks a lot better but I was wondering is it possible to clear up the faces a bit better. Or is there somewhere commercial I could get it done, would like to get the picture, printed onto canvas, maybe, if it could be cleared up a lot better. Note to self, bring a decent digital camera if you ever have this opportunity again

You can't create information that isn't there. You can certainly paint in more detail but that wouldn't be the original image.

The image itself is only 1.5 by 2 inches in size. I am sorry to say you will not get a canvas out of this and possibly be lucky to get a decent 4x6 print. There seems to be motion blur around the shoulders causing pixellation and sun flare on the top half of the image. It can be improved slightly to even it out but you are not going to get details int he faces. If you were to enlarge it you will be left with blobs of blur by scaling it up or severe pixellation by straight enlarging.

I have however spent a couple of minutes scaling it to 4x6 for you and evening it out a little bit more. I'm afraid to say the details is not there to work with to get any better.

Thanks for the help guys, a friend of mine in the States managed to do this for me, but here was my first port of call, and I appreciate the help. Just have to wait until next year and bring a decent compact camera with me. He managed to clear up the faces a bit, but we look ill.
