Dell Vostro 1310 won't boot (sometimes)

I find when I hit the power button on my Vostro it fails to boot. Black screen with Caps Lock etc on but with Num Lock flashing repeatedly? After about 4-5 restarts it boots up and works perfectly until I shut it down again. Any ideas?

Yep, seems to have worked!

Funny, i was getting other issues last year where it wouldn't return from hibernate or standby correctly. I opened it up and reseated the RAM it worked fine again.
