Can anyone tell me the name of the woman who was on The Den (in the 90's)from time to time, chatting about all sorts of insects? she was on a few kids programmes i think. she was probably in her 40's at the time, Irish, very loud, country sort of accent and kind of mad but good craic(....i think)? It's wrecking my head trying to think of her name.

    could somebody please enlighten me?

She is on the Derek Mooney show now on Radio 1 at 3 o'clock. A very interesting woman.

Yes, she comes across very well, very clear at explaining and lots of enthusiasm

I remember hearing her (probably on The Den) insisting that spiders can't climb into a bath through the plughole. She was completely wrong about that and I've viewed her with a bit of suspicion ever since.

I ran into her parking outside my house 2 weeks ago. I recognised her immediately as the lady from The Den who loved creepy crawlies but couldn't think of her name. She did seem to really love her job.

I was leaving for the weekend and said she could pull into my space. Seemed like a nice woman for the few words we had.
