    Hi all,
I'm looking to begin a Psychology qualification, but it would have to be through distance learning. I'm wondering if anyone has any information regarding Psychology courses through this avenue. I have been looking it up on the web, but am uncertain as to what the best options regarding universities and courses might be. Would appreciate any advice people can offer. Thanks

Im doing a Bsc with The Open Uni in the UK. Im finding it very good so far...but expensive enough. They send you all the books and materials you need though, so you dont have to buy anything extra.
And the support from them is very good. You get a tutor assigned to you that you can email or phone to ask any questions about the materials, they have tutorials throughout the year that you can attend..usually on a Saturday morning, and there are also forums so you can chat to other students on your course. Id recommend it :)

My wife is doing the same course, it's hard work, but she loves it.

Hi OP, I finished my BSc Psychology (Hons) with the OU about 3 years ago. it was at times; intensive, challenging but always incredibly interesting and aimed/presented in a magnificiently supportive manner.

I would 100% recommend this course to anyone considering the science of Psychology.

I have had frriends who started studying in UCD around the same time, they finished before me but e.g. they did not do ant major research until their final year. the OU have you conducting research very early on and progressively build this ability.

I will say one thing. the OU is an amazing institution, however you do need to be motivated to learn. If you are, everything falls into place! But the caveat is the converse! That being said, they have a huge support staff/support network there.

They ranked in the top 5 colleges in the UK for a number of years, ahead of Oxford (if I remember correctly)! I do honestly believe this course is a good, solid choice! I have no affliation btw (except am alumni!).

Hope it helps - get their sample documents to see how you feel about it anyway!

    Sur
