Considering starting a gaming channel?

    Hey Lads,

I've noticed recently the lack of variety in the YouTube commentary community. There are better games on the market then Call of Duty that are being ignored because people want to see glitches and nukes more then they want to see a genuinely good game.
I'm starting to consider starting my own channel where I focus mainly on different games other than cod. I think this could be a good idea. But I also think it could be a waste of money and time.

Hat do you guys think? Would anyone be interested in seeing a Transformers: WFC video, or a Halo reach campaign walkthrough? Or should I just forget it completely?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mark.

Nah, If you need a game walkthrough you'll find it. But hey if yours is the best you'll get the views. It's not a unique idea but if it's done right it could be popular.

I am thinking of doing something very similar myself. Ive a competitive-gaming background in FIFA and due to that I got an email from Machinima asking if I would like a contract uploading videos for them. I love the idea of doing gameplay/commentary of my matches and giving tips and tricks, but I am not sure if its worth it. It will cost me €200 for a HD-PVR and as Machinima Sports videos often dont get more than 300 views im wondering if I should go for it or not.

Its a tough choice OP as you have to weigh up the costs and the time it will consume with wether there is a genuine intrest or if people will watch your stuff.
