Pharmaceutical industry job query

    Hi,
I've been trying to figure this out for a while but I'm still uncertain. If, for example, you wanted to work in the pharmaceutical industry for a company such as Pfizer or the likes, would Pharmacy be a good primary degree for such a job or would a Pharmaceutical Science/Chemistry degree be more suited?
(From what I've been told a PhD is generally needed to gain such a position anyway?)
    Thanks for any replies

Pharmacy would be a good degree. If you do a 6 month placement after 4th year during the internship you will get a chance to get your foot in somewhere. You can also be a QP after 2 years experience in a GMP environment.

    Thanks,
Is there any preference to either degree for these companies? I have the choice to study either next year, Pharmacy in the UK & Medicinal Chemistry here and im having trouble picking between them. I'd want to go into research, the whole QP aspect the Pharmacy degree brings sounds pretty good...

You do lots and lots of medicinal chemistry in pharmacy. Definitely more options after doing pharmacy than a chemistry degree.
