Buying furniture in Bulk

Hopefully this is the right thread

Looking for advice on what is my best option. I need 8 - 10 sofas for a one day event in December and am looking into hiring the furniture.

    - First option is renting the sofas, this will cost 125euro per sofa + vat.
    - Second option is Ikea. Sofas to BUY for 89euro inc vat, and can then resell when finished. I'm thinking quality won't be great but that irrelevant to my needs
    - Third option is to bulk buy sofas and see if I can get a better price than the Ikea ones.

Any advice on where to bulk buy sofas like this in Ireland? My friend Google is pointing me overseas moreso and the prices I'm getting still aren't as good as the Ikea deal.

    Thanks.

Ikea would probably be your best bet. I mean 89 for a sofa is more than reasonably and you'll not get much cheaper than that wholesale.

I'd go the Ikea route and then donate them to someone like ALONE or SVP. - Some people would love to get a nearly new sofa for xmas.

have you tried a props company? ring ardmore studios in bray or rte and see what props company they use ,might be cheaper than buying sofas

At €89 each, IKEA sounds like a great option. I don't know what kind of event you are running, but would the attendees be interested in a raffle for a sofa? Maybe you could even bribe someone with a free sofa, in return for helping you out.

Perhaps look at some other low priced stores such as Woodies or Argos.
