Passed it at the second go, the wind was very deceptive on places 10- 16 and the dust was choking.
I will have to spend some time cleaning today to get all the grit and dust out of the gun.
Would not like to have to do it again. There were guys there who would never wound a deer failing due to nerves.

The whole "peeling stickers" joke's a lot funnier offline custom, because there it looks like a joke. 90% or more of all human communication is non-verbal; and all of that is lost when you post online, so you have to be a bit more explicit about what's a joke and what's a criticism of the HCAP range test (because there's been a bit of that of late).

Yeah It's a very dusty gritty spot when the wind whips up, gets everywhere. Only way I found to clean mine was strip it down and take the air gun to her :)

it's only dusty at the mo due to construction work.
it should all be in grassland again soon.

Grass is a great man to get rid of dust!

Was dusty 3 years ago when I did mine. But your right, grass would def help, poor fella had go mad with a strimmer cutting weeds so we could have a line of fire when shooting prone :)

Well we have a tractor and drum mower too :D
It's a full time job up keeping a range that size.

After all, it's over 1200 yards long in places;)

Passed it first go. The dust being kicked up by the wind was pretty savage. It was difficult to keep the dust out of the rifle between shots. They could have put water down on the area to keep the dust down. I think the pass rate was 60% with some lads well into their second box of ammo!
