    Hey all,

Im thinking of getting a set of specialist ear plugs soon. Ive read things about them but I dont know of anyone around Dublin who makes them.

They are the kind that get moulded to your ear and you get 2 or 3 filters with them that attenuate the full frequency range very near equally at different levels.

I almost always have a set of those cheap foam plugs with me that I wear at gigs with volume loving sound guys but last weekend I forgot to bring a set with me and I hated the sheer volume of it all.

Does anyone have experience with these kind of earplugs and know where I could get a set made?

I remember that company from The Music Show last year.
    Have you used them yourself?

John Cass is making mine at the moment.
Haven't got them yet but the experience has been good so far!

Study those graphs again, they don't do that. Not even close to +/- 3dB. IMO you're better off with Boots Muffles wax earplugs. Same attenuation, similarly wobbly frequency response.
