Nope i dont think any insurance company can refuse you a quote but they can give you a really high figure to put you off.

When my cousin was 22 he was quoted 4,500 for a legacy and that was with 4 years driving under his belt :)

I'd expect a supra to be even higher

Ring around it shudnt be too much and if yer full licensed and ave a decent no claims bonus ye shud be grnd, Quoteme.ie are also doing a young males deal now if ur between 18 - 24 they try give ye the best possible quote but since ur over 21 ye shud be fine

Are you really paying €1300 on a celica at 22yo? That's really good! I think you'll have difficulty getting insured on a Supra though.

    I'm your age.
I guess its just cuz its my first car aviva decided to screw me over with that huge premium...

I doubt you'ld be able to get a quote of anything south of 2k for the Supra.
Its in a very high insurance bracket. Best you can do (as everyone else is going to tell you) is to shop around and see what quotes you get.

I think its after you've passed 24yrs of age that insurance rates get a bit more relaxed. Which is why I'm planning on keeping my Puma for another 3-4 years and then I'll look into buying something with a big juicy engine!

If you can find anyone to quote you expect them to be asking for silly money... Quinn may take you on this year on the basis of you transferring your insurance from the Celica to the Supra, but I would expect them to massively up your premium next year. From my experience most of the main insurers (Axa, Aviva etc) wont touch a car like that, not at your age anyway.

Best I can say is get out the phone book and ring every insurance company and broker you can find. Be prepared for a lot of rejection and ridiculous quotes, but you may find one who is prepared to take you seriously.

Find a broker who deals with Setanta insurance and see if they can give you a good quote. They were the only company prepared to give me an affordable quote on my Integra. ARB will probably give you a quote as well, although how good it will be I cant say. Britton are another worth trying; theyll either quote you €1300 or €13000 tho!!!

On cars like that theyre still going to have a massive hangup if youre in youre 20s. Im 27 and almost noone would quote me on my Integra. I used to think the same, that by 25ish they started to take you seriously when it comes to more powerful cars, but it seems the older I get the higher they push that age boundary...

Don't suppose it makes much difference if its n/a or turbo?

I expect a lot of Supras in the country would have been modified to varying degrees, and I guess declaring that on the insurance would cause credit card meltdown.
