does anyone know anywhere I can sell my wedding dress and get a good price. It cost 1100 euro and I just paid 200 euro to get it cleaned (!!!)

I need to get at least half the money back on it - any ideas??

I tried ebay but no real luck or interest there...

    you can try www.weddingsonline.ie

although I will warn you, it's very difficult to sell a second hand wedding dress
I realise hindsight is 20/20 but surely buying a wedding dress that you "need to get at least half back" is a bit risky and you might have been better off looking for a second hand dress in the first place??

I've just seen so many brides on WOL struggling to sell a 2nd hand dress, but best of luck ! :)

As i said to my misses .. would you buy a second hand dress ??
She bought a sample dress after that to cut some of the cost down.

I would've bought a 2nd hand if I could've found the dress I wanted 2nd hand in my size but even searching the US sites, it was not to be found (as it was a new collection unfortunately) so I had to buy full price.

Planning a trash the dress shoot to get another day out of it, and then maybe sell it on if possible, but don't rely on that to get any money back, more of a bonus if it does sell.

I'm not so sure selling the dress is the answer. There's such a glut of them at the moment, so effectively it's a buyer's market. Certainly, you won't get back 50% of the cost.

I paid £1200 for mine, but am holding on to it for that very reason. I wasn't prepared to go through the stress of advertising, and having buyers turn up and take the mick with the price. It simply isn't worth it IMO...

I certainly intend on buying a second hand dress (I buy most of my clothes second hand anyway - why not my wedding dress) but I'd be more inclined to go to that Oxfam shop or something like that rather than go through individual advertisments online.

Im trying to sell my wedding dress as well. Mine has never been worn, still has the tags on. Its a really lovely dress, but im never going to wear it now.
I tried Gumtree, but all the responses i got were from scammers

Mine only cost 500 euros new! Keeping mine, just couldn't bear to sell it.
