    Anybody know how or where i can get an emulator and rom for this game. Have looked everywhere!!!

    Start by searching for Ikari instead of Akari dude :)

    Everywhere except google it would seem! Please dont ask for ROMs as it's against forum rules. You haven't mentioned which format you played it on either, C64? NES?

    Sorry i played Ikari warriors on an arcade machine. had an eight way joystick which rotated the player character as you rotated the joystick for directional firing

    Can't tell you where to get the rom but Mame would be the emulator you are looking for. It might be hard to emulate the controls since it's a unique control set up but maybe a 360 pad will do the job.

    Yes the ikari games are emulated on mame.Never could get the control method right with a joypad though:o

    Couldnt get it with a xbox pad...shame cos I loved that game
