I expect Everton to get their 1st win this weekend, away to Villa, who imo are coming under pressure lately.
And @ 19/10, I will definatley be having a go.

The accumulator works out at evens with Paddy Power, I believe. Thinking of putting something on it myself.

Yeah i think they could get a result too. They've been playing well, created lots of chances. Just need to finish them

Don't know about Newcastle. Think that game has draw written all over it.

Torres is 5/2 to get first goal against West Brom. Looks good. Assuming he starts of course.

Gonna do an accumulator or else lump on Chelsae over 3.5 goals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 87 ✭✭storykid

Everton for me aswell, draw no bet at 11/10 just to be safe! really cant see them losing this game anyway
Expecting United to get back on track with a big win against West Ham aswell, will put a small bit on Hernandez To Score & Man United To Win at evens

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

Lads I'm loving the evens on Chelsea (-1) second half handicap tomorrow. They may struggle to break Stoke down at first but by the second half they may be flying. Looks a really good bet.

Everton have not won any of their last 8 league games against villa.
Everton have not won any of their last 5 games at villa.
Everton have won 1 league game at villa park since 1992.
Seen this on another thread. Thought it might be of interest for whoever is going to back Everton.

This is my accum for this week. I was hopeless last week got seven out of ten wrong.

No I think Newcastle will win , think in tthe midfield there too strong for the lower teams , barton , smith , guitterez an nolan when he drops back there all workhorses an think they will have too much power for wolves, and after big win confience is sky high, 2/1 is a massive massive price , I was going to put 80 on them but im seriously consering a couple of hundred now , its just too big a price to let go
    I

I think tomorrow is going to be a good day for betting.
Most likely going to do an overs double for United and Chelsea, I can see both sides winning at least four nil. I think if Arsenal were playing at home they achieve this score but playing away they are very hit and miss. Also I can see Blackpool winning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,408 ✭✭✭ft9

After 2 succesive 6 nil wins for Chelski and what seems a lot of people gambling on more goals from them, the bubble has to burst at some stage, i would not bank on them scoring more than 2 this week imo

    Sat 28th August 2010[/B]
Blackburn v Arsenal - tough game for arsenal. 1 goal win probably the outcome
    Blackpool v Fulham
    Chelsea v Stoke City
    Tottenham v Wigan Athletic
    Wolves v Newcastle

Man Utd v West Ham Utd

    Sun 29th August 2010
    Bolton v Birmingham

    Liverpool v WBA
    Sunderland v Manchester City
    Aston Villa v Everton

this is how i think it'll go down, with the italics being draws. looking at the odds on PP nothing really appeals to me.. arsenal are far too short for any kind of value and that is a dodgy game for them. might have a double or 2... hmmmmm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 692 ✭✭✭gleep

Going to have a go at

    1Blackpool v Fulham (Backing Fulham @ 2.3)
    2Chelsea v Stoke(Backing Chelsea @ 1.1)
    3Tottenham v Wigan (Backing Tottenham @ 1.25)
    4Sunderland v Man City(Backing Man City @ 1.83)
    5Liverpool v West Brom(Backing Liverpool @ 1.24)

As I said on another thread, Betfair doing €25 cashback for 1 dud, but £50 on UK site.

50 on this nets 315 profit. Worth a go?

My suggested best bets for this weekend

    Sat 28th August 2010
    Blackburn v Arsenal win 1.66
    Blackpool v Fulham - Fulham/Draw 1.30
Chelsea v Stoke City - score both halves 1.44
    Tottenham v Wigan Athletic -1 handicap 1.66
    Wolves v Newcastle + 2.5 2.10
Man Utd v West Ham Utd win 1.16

    Sun 29th August 2010
Bolton v Birmingham draw no bet 1.66
    Liverpool v WBA win 1.25
Sunderland v Manchester City Tevez anytime 2.37
    Aston Villa v Everton win/draw 1.44

    79/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 773 ✭✭✭seklly

Didn't see this thread for premier league betting so will throw my bet in here instead

    Blackburn v Arsenal Over 1.5
    Wolves v Newcastle Over 1.5
    Blackpool v Fulham
    Tottenham v Wigan
    Man Utd v West Ham

    €50 @ 5.57 on Betfair
Money back if 1 leg loses

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭fkiely

Quite fancy Wolves to beat Newcastle at home today and will certainly be taking the 7/5 on offer.

I'm not really buying into the whole Blackburn curse over Arsenal, the stats simply don't add up. Arsenal at 7/10 is a decent price.

Have taken a handicap accie with Man Utd -2, Chelsea -2, Spurs -1 and Liverpool -1 at around 11/1

He has a great record against blackburn though, but yeah pointless playing someone injury prone unless they are 100% fit

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,480 ✭✭✭Devastator

    £5 PP enhanced bet
    Chelsea,Spurs,Man Utd & Fulham to win 14/5.

I think the 3 home teams are nailed on to win, Fulham could find it difficult but they seem to have gotten better in last couple of games under Hughes.

Not really unlike him as it turns out, he's missed his last three now!

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

    Malouda, Chelsea 1-0

    Zamora, Fulham 1-0

Thinking of lumping on Chelsea 2nd half -1 now.

Yeah, no harm having the football threads in here. Keeps the section busier and there are quite a few other sports logs going on in the challenge/log section.
    Because they're football logs ;)

Sunderland/City to draw is catching my eye, Sunderland are hard to beat at home but City could be anything this season and looked good against Liverpool. Not sure what to do! Any opinions lad?
