    Going to the Algarve at the end of September for a week for €250 by booking it myself.. not that hotel mind you

    Anyone know which is the nicest but fairly cheap hotel to stay in praia da rocha in the Algarve. Hope to be going in September

    Steer clear - horrible part of the Algarve (think Ballym...... ok better not don't want to get in trouble!! in the sun :eek:)

    I heard its not the nicest part, but im a bit skint and i have to pay for my boyfriend as well. Just looking for somewhere nice to stay and it dose'nt cost of fortune

    check out lowcostholidays on your fatcheese account. we got puerto de mogan for 720 each when you take into account thats self catering, transfers to and from the airport and 2 weeks stay

    There is a nice 5* hotel its quite a bit away from Praia da Rocha though called Vale da Lapa in Lagoa its a bit isolated but well worth the money for a 5* including B&B, taxis are cheap to the nearest town. Also if you are finding it difficult to find a place in Praia da Rocha, Praia da Vau is within walking distance of Praia da Rocha might be worth a try.

    praia da rocha... biggest Kip I've ever stayed in. Almost put me right off Portugal. I'm sure you can find somewhere else just as cheap, yet far nicer (wouldn't be hard mind you)
