    Hi All,

    Need some help!
Myself and My partner recently moved in together. My partner has a 6 year old child.
She recieves no maintenance payment from the father.
She currently collects her single parent allowance.
She has been called in for an interview with the Social Welfare office to assess her.
Is there a chance that she will not be intitled to her single parent because she is now co-habiting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Yes.
    Clue: not single.

social welfare seem to be tightening up on overpayments aswel so she will most likely have to repay them any money she has recieved since she became co-hab.

She does not satisfy the conditions for receipt of one parent family payment if she is co habiting. She could apply for Jobseekers allowance which would be means tested. If you are in receipt of jobseekers you could claim for her and the child on your claim.
