Strippers Picket Church

I was tickled by this story when I was in the States earlier this month.

    http://www.examiner.com/humanist-in-portland/religion-strippers-bikinis-picket-church-ohio-video

Apparently a Church has been picketing a strip club in Ohio in a depressingly common attempt to force their moral standards onto the rest of the population. The strippers turned the tables and have started turning up on Sunday mornings dressed in bikinis to picket the Church!

"A man reaps what he sows." (Galatians 6:7)

    Exactly!

Might have the effect of more people wanting to head to church to see them!

If they had any sense they should have invited the strippers into the church...(suitably clothed)

I can appreciate a certain amount of outrage if the strip club is located in an area close to schools or where young children hang out, particularly if graphic images appear outside (there was a recent case in England) but a lot of American Christians seem to go so overboard with their protests that they are just asking for trouble. (Matthew 7:3)

A quiet, dignifed, and occasional protest would have been a far better witness for God

I wonder if any of the license plates noted at the strip club turned up at the church - then the strip club could have put them online!

Judging by the photos of the strippers I doubt if there will be any traffic jams.

Ya never know with those Godless types! Gotta agree though, think they use "exotic" liberally. Sitting on camping chairs smoking a ciggarette like...:pac:

Mercy! They need to work on their signs. Short pity statements, ladies, not essays.

Just watched the video in the link there. It took them 4 years to come up with this plan?

To scientifically verify PDN's claim surely we need verifiable proof - a photograph of the said belly might be in order?

By coincidence, either could work. Why place unreasonable limits on creative slogan making? Signs are cheap, after all.

You'd need a bigger monitor for your computer.

War a few months ago concerning a certain section of the community going to mass half naked and causing major stress to the mass goers. Love to see the reaction here of a few strippers turning up at mass

I'd say a fair few parishioners would fashion cord whips and drive them from the Temple! :D

If you tried to enter church grounds dressed in a bikini top, you'd be refused entry. And rightly so.

Anyway, recreational protesters will eventually get bored and find something else to satisfy themselves with.

I'm not so sure. If our local priests are anything to go by, you'd have to attend Mass with no clothes on in order to be certainly refused. However, I think it a disgrace that priests do not speak about modesty of dress. In their desire to 'not offend' they let the people continue in their ways without any hint of correction.

When it's in the newspaper beside a story about a church? Yes. :)

I've added a 'smilie' to the previous msg in order to better convey the intent.

If I were that Pastor, I'd 'sow' a few outdoor speakers onto the church and see what it reaps :pac:
