Hi, currently on JSB but unless I get work in next 2 months I should be means tested for JSA.
Thinking about going self-employed under the BTWEA scheme once I'm on that.

I'd have about €30k in savings from my previous job, when I'd be initially means tested so I know I wouldn't receive the full €196 but once I go out on my own I'd need to spend a few grand on equipment and things so just wondering if it's reviewed every week/month or would I be stuck with the initial figure they come up with for the whole year?

I'd buy the equipment now but I'd be afraid that I mightn't be approved for the BTWEA or when they check my bank statements while doing the test it could cause hassle.
