hey, so i have a new lease and went into my local welfare office to let them know i have changed address anwhat i need to do now to keep my jsa. i have not moved out of the district, just from one part of phibsboro to the other, when i let the lady behind the counter know this she just goes oh right thats grand, that when i get a bill to bring it in as this will be proof of address. i asked would a bank statement do and she said no. so just wondering what will be easiest proof of address to get.

by the way, i had my lease with me when i went in and she said it doesnt count becasue there was some scribbled out stuff on it,said i would need a letter from the landlord,he is a bit flakey though so dont know if he will give me one.

also i was living with two other lads but now have moved in with my girlfriend who is in her final year of college after 5 years. she doesnt have any income except for the grant a but of savings from a summer job, just wondering will this have any effect on it. any advice appriciated

Bring in an esb bill or landline bill if they are in your name. As regards your girlfriend i she has no income you can claim or her as a dependant. If your combined savings are below 20,000 you will be ok. Her grant may be assessed as income.
