Has anyone got any recommendations of any Bluetooth Headsets/phones for the iPhone 4. Ones that can stream both music as well as calls? Would be also very handy if they worked on my Bluetooth enabled PC for streaming music and video files there. Dunno if this is possible so I'm bowing down to your greater technological expertise :)

    I have these ones.

    I also have this car-kit

Both work absolutely flawlessly with my iPhone 4 */tempts-fate.

Sound quality on the headset is excellent, battery life is a bit shocking though, still, thats Bluetooth all over for you. One poor thing about iTunes is that it doesnt support the advanced features like forward/rewind from the headset. Is this a Bluetooth 2.0 thing?

I have same headphones, they are excellent, also works with iPad. got them cheap online from a us seller on ebay. had to buy a transformer too but they still worked out cheaper. the transformer is handy to have anyway.

What kind of transformer would you need?

Gonna pull this one back up.

Confirmations yesterday that the iOS4.1 GM release includes support for AVRCP. So it won't be removed before the full release next week. This is a protocol that allows you to skip track using the remote control on bluetooth headphones/earphones. Previously it's only been possible to pause/play on the iPhone.

So basically you can now use any A2DP/AVRCP compatible bluetooth headsets/phones with your iPhone.

With that in mind, I'm looking for in-ear bluetooth earphones to use while on the bike. The stock earphones work fine, but in the winter months I'd like to be able to wrap the iphone up in something waterproof and keep it out of the way of the elements, using the bluetooth earphones to control it. They'd need to be fairly water-resistant too, given that it'll be raining and I'll be sweating.

    Any ideas or recommendations?

The motorola S9-HD seem to be top of the class in terms of functionality, but the reviews about their durability are mixed, especially when used during exercise. They're not cheap, so I'd expect to get at least 2 years out of them.

I had the original S-9. I found the connection a bit hit and miss when on the bike or walking. When stationary, they were fine.
Now I got the Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth headset. Amazon, €50. You can use whatever headphones in conjunction with a small clip-on dongle. Beauty of it is, there's also a built-in RDS radio. Included earbuds are excellent.

I second this headset. Bought them on the recommendation from this thread and they are first class. They work very well with the iphone 4. You can control the tracks, volume and answer calls on it. The phone number calling shows up on the headset or name if its in your phonebook. Thanks for the brill recommendation.

    Fair play. Enjoy them.
I meant to mention that the headphones also pair 3 devices and can keep two active at the same time. Handy for laptop and mobile switching along with the hands-free in the car!

I have the mw-600 for a year or so now and have been pretty impressed, main complaint would be that the pairing can be a bit erratic if you don't keep it near the phone and that the caller id can take a few rings to work.

eg one ring, then number comes up, another ring or two before it matches name to number.

Is it heavy or noticeable when you're using it?

    anyone know anywhere cheaper?

They are very light. The only thing is the clip is not the strongest but not bad either.

I've the Sennheiser MM200, very happy with them.

The MW-600 look like the business. I like to listen to the radio on the way into work but my old Zen stone only has about 3 hours of charge in it these days so I keep running out of battery.

got the M600...not sure about the sound but it does seem slightly lower than the normal iphones..but I was in a gym so I reckon it's in my head :)
Very happy with them...pairing is the easiest I've ever seen

well just tested the MW600 again and the volume is definitely a good bit lower than the same headset plugged into the iphone..damn :(
might try recharging it and see how that goes..although battery shows full

Have you made sure to adjust the volume on the phone and also on the headset, as they work independently of each other (on the iPhone anyway).
I max'd the volume on the phone and then use the volume slider on the dongle to suit.

    yep..both are maxed..and MW600 I left charge overnight so it's fully charged.
