Recorded a few movies recently, new to digital box.
"Deliverance" last night, just settled down to watch it. Hard of hearing man pops up. Went to settings /preferences and scroll down. Hard of hearing option is passed by. Cannot highlight it to turn it off. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

It wasnt a hard of hearing movie on the tv was it? Sometimes channels show movies/shows at night with the hard of hearing person on them and I dont think you can turn them off.

The late night films often have a guy on them using sign language...you can't turn them off from the box, as it's embedded in the TV feed. You'd have it on the old fashioned VCR approach as well. See DigitalSpy for more details as to why they put it on (i.e. they have to).

If you don't want them, you'll need to pick a film on at a different time of day.

At that hour of the night its very possible it was coming from the feed itself and cannot be switched off. Its common to have hard of hearing movies and shows on late at night.
