Sluggish Iphone 4

Not sure if this is a common problem or just my own.

It's noticeable in a lot of areas but more so with text messaging. For example:

When I open text messaging first, for a second or so all the names will be missing, just their numbers shown.

When I get a new text the sound of the text lags behind the actual text arriving, sometimes the other way around.

Anyone else having these issues?

Nah I wouldn't go that far...I'd say it's something that would be fixed after an update. (hopefully)

I am getting a fair few dropped calls though and I still have this fecking problem with putting people on mute while I'm talking to them.

Mute problem could be a known proximity sensor issue, I wouldn't be dismissing returning the phone too quickly.

Why would an update fix your problems - it's obviously not how the phone is supposed to operate if you're noticing that it's sluggish and dropping calls. Do a restore and get 4.0.2 and if there's no improvement I'd be sending it back

Try an update or a backup and restore. The mute thing is a problem with the proximity sensor (which you would think could be fixed easily in a software update) but Apple hasn't addressed it yet in an iOS releases despite knowing about it.

Latest issue. If I have a text message conversation open and I get a new text, I hear the "woosh" but I have to go back out to the inbox to see the latest text. Anyone else having an issue like this?

did you get a holder to put your mirco sim into to make the same as a old sim card
