Can someone advise me on electric towel rail for a bathroom

1 - Where can they be purchased in the Dublin area
2 - Do they need their own supply or can i take a supply off a socket circuit.
3 - Does the heater have to be connected through a double pole switch or a fused double pole switch and why the difference?
4 - What is the maximum kilowatts an appliance is allowed to be taken off a socket circuit? ie 2kw 3kw or 4kw?

    Thanks in advance

permanently connected heating appliance over 10amp-independent circuit

radial sockets circuits supply only small permanently connected appliances

fused spurs only on ring circuits

sustained heating loads not allowed on ring circuits

afaik 3kw is the largest appliance size on a 13amp fuse, the heater manual will prob tell you

you should have a copy of the rules if you're doing electrical work:mad:

Brooks thomas sell one made by LED, as do tubs & tiles (same company): http://www.tubstiles.ie/product.aspx?p=230&c=207

    Uses 100w.

Homebase do them. The have elements that you put into their central heading towel warmers.

How did you get on with the towel heater?
Can you get a towel heater with a timer so it only comes on say in the morning?
