    31% on the delivery charge

    Hello Bondja80,

The customs rate of duty for mobile telephones, customs tariff number 8517 12 00 90 is 0 (zero) %.

VAT will be payable @ 21% over the value of the phones plus the freight costs plus transport insurance (if any).

Depending on the method of delivery, you may need to pay the courier company or An Post an administration fee. This is essentially for the customs entry and collecting the VAT on behalf of the Revenue.

Be very aware that you may be buying fakes.

If its iPhones, then you're defnitely buying fakes.

That is indeed a possibility that I neglected to commenton. Bear in mind that customs may inspect the shipment. If they believe it is fake product it will be confiscated and you may be proscecuted .........

    Hi,

Even if they're not iPhones, just similiar phones that claim to be as good from sites like Chinavasion, do not go near them. They are absolute sh*te

I bought one called "The Odyssey" from Chinavasion and my Jesus was it the biggest waste of money ever. The touchpad is so unresponsive that it's beyond a joke! When you turn the phones on, the graphics etc.. are just embarassing. I was happy that i'd only just bought the one!

If you're looking at the comments etc.. on these sites, my advice would be to pay no heed to them at all. I reckon they're all BS and closely monitored by Chinavasion. I left one and it didn't appear on the site.

I reckon the Chinese will tell you anything you want to hear, just as long as you end up buying whatever it is in question.

Be wary is the advice i'd give ;)
