    hi all.getting tested in 4 weeks.curently getting 196 a week aged 24.they want my bank statement,my das pay slip which he threw a freaker over and proof my ma and da are paying a mortage.cheeky *****.

    anybody any idea what the outcome will be.

    All depends how much they are earning, if they are getting a good income you will get very little dole

    Once you are under 25 and living at home your parents income is taken into account for jobseekers allowance. If your parents have a mortgage this will be allowed as a deduction from their nett income so it is to your advantage if they have a mortgage. They are also allowed deductions for prsi , superannuation vhi etc I you do not produce a payslip for them you could be disallowed means not disclosed

    they also take a family deduction ,i think its €600 for a couple and extra if there is any children in the household.so if your parents have mortgage and other children you mite get a reasonable amount.all depends on your parents income really.
