I came up with an idea today, it might be stupid but i cant afford to join the gym and all i have is an exercise bike. I find myself getting really bored when on it so seems i spend a bit of time playing poker on my laptop i came up with an idea. I took off the saddle on the bike and sat down while on the chair and started cycling away while playin poker. Instead of getting fed up after 10 minutes while using it normally, i done 30 minutes without really noticing. But im wondering if this is much use i sit down playing poker for a few hours a day, so if could do this an hour or two a day it would be better then getting bored usin the bike sitting on the saddle. I also go for a 40 minute walk every night and have improved my diet recently to try drop a few pounds. does anybody think doing this would be much use for losing weight. If anybody can give any advice.

I always wanted one of those generator bikes, you power your TV with pedal power so you have to keep going if you want to keep watching, it would be murder watching films on BBC with no ad breaks though!

I would get yourself a chinup bar, and/or some weights. Though there is a lot you can do without equipment too. Check out this thread

i agree with what predator said, just listen to music to entertain yourself while doing some exercises.
