Runners knee

    Hi

Not sure if it's really the right section to ask

I've been running for the last 2 years and 2 month ago, I had major pains in my left knee. Recently, a friend who's also a trainer at the NTC diagnosed me with CMP (runners knee) and he advised me to go and visit a neuromuscular physio which I did.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've been training with straps around the knee and the pain is no more but I'm running the Half marathon and it's my first one.

I've been strapping the knee before each session and I wonder if I should stop the straps for the 1/2 marathon or if I should keep the same.

    Thanks in advance.
    G.

<mod edit- please read the charter. No medical advice here. Best port of call is your neuromuscular physio.>
