Struck me last night that my TV screen has become devoid of the followers of Larkin:rolleyes:
    Jacko,....... not a whisper lately.
Beggs ........ hardly remember what he looks like
Liam "shut up and mind your own business" Doran .......

Dont tell me they have all gone on a long summer recess, with the soldiers of destiny:cool:

They are busy with secret talks involving Gerry Adams and the Grand Coalition of Socialists. In response to Lenihans appearance at Beal na Blath.

Do you miss them or something? I don't think anyone really minds that they're not about to be honest.

Or was your query a round about way of saying they do nothing in the summer? Shock Horror!!:D

Given their inflated wages I am sure they are off bronzing themselves somewhere so they look good on "de telly" for the winter of discontent that awaits us.

    Cuba would not have them.
After all they appear to believe in a functioning health and education system that appears to benefit the people of the state rather than just the employees.

Also I don't think union leaders in Cuba would ever make asmuch as our ones so they would feel out of place.
Besides our guys would be more at home in Las Vegas or Atlantic city where lots of union people are bought off by unethical mobsters.

I get the impression that something or someone scared them into silence a couple of months ago. I wonder did Lenihan and the Department of Finance call them in to explain bond markets to them.

What happens when they have to explain to their members that they won't get their pay back next year if the state goes bust?

Ah he is only in the halfpenny stakes in comparison to peter mcloone ex or outgoing general secretary of Impact who earns or earned over €150,000 a year plus a while back he had the chairman gig over in Fás until the lid blew off their little misdemeanours.

Funny and all as this is lads, is this discussion up to the standards of the Irish Economy forum? It seems its just jokes about union heads.....

I'd easily discuss the undeserved pay cheques that these guys get, they are most definitely overpaid, especially for the principles of fairness they supposedly fight for

A bargain when you consider their "comrades" are struggling on less than the average industrial wage everytime these lads want to stir the shyte but yet DB & JOC & Co. continue on CEO'esque type salaries for effectively being tiresome obstructive middlemen!

You know what its actually been bliss that they havent been polluting the airwaves, its a damn shame they are given airtime in the first place, keep them off !

Also their members dont seem to have missed them either....eh time to cancel the subs folks, save the few quid since theres nothing else these jokers can do for you now for ten years :)
