I'm looking forward to No Surrender.

TNA are actually putting two matches on the card that will see us through, storyline wise, to BFG. It must be Angle/Anderson for the World Heavyweight Title with Anderson winning and turning heel along with Bischoff/Hogan for nWo2010. Hogan was caught talking to Anderson back in March about "being on the same page"...and then the subsequent spit in Angles face.

They also have to put it on for the main event because this EV2.0/Fourtune stuff needs to take a back seat if they want to bring prestige to the title.

I remember Angle /Anderson at Lethal Lockdown earlier in the year and they had a MOTY contender so I'm hoping for a similar performance...

I wouldn't trust Angle/Anderson to deliver a good enough match for the biggest show of the year. Alot of stars aligned at once for that Lockdown match to come off like it did - a super hot crowd, a great feud and the help of the cage. Their Destination X singles match was certainly good but it was nothing special and TNA have yet to deliver that special match in a Bound For Glory main event.

I'm quite looking forward to Angle/Hardy, has great potential I think. Also, I reckon Sabu may pick up the X belt. I mean had anyone else forgotten about Doug Williams until the Fortune beatdown on EV2.0? While I think it's a bad idea to give Sabu the belt at least it'll remind everyone that "hey we've an X-Division"

The X-Division desperately needs a talent injection. The reason Doug's been forgotten about is because there's really no new opponents for him.

If I was Dixie, I'd clinch some quality ROH talent and flood the X-Division with them...I'm surprised Tyler Black and Austin Aries weren't locked into a contract before WWE came knocking. TNA missed the boat there... :(

...add the Briscoes and you own tag team wrestling.

TNA made Black an offer aswell but he accepted WWE's.

    Really? I wasn't aware.

Such a shame. :( No doubt it was the money - many would consider that selling your soul.

    Many would be wrong tbh.

Also you think money is the only thing WWE can offer that TNA can't? What about the chance to work for the biggest company in the world, the chance to become a household name, the chance to wrestle on PPV's that more than a few thousand people watch in legendary arenas like MSG or the chance to wrestle on TV shows that break 1.5 shares in the ratings every once in a while?

The Guns vs. Wolfe and Magnus for the Tag titles aswell.

What happened to Ink Inc are they still around as a tag team?

Wolfe has fallen a bit I expected him to be the world title picture

I think Wolfe seems to have a bit of and ego and is hard to work with so he is been demoted. Moore had a Xplosion match recently

Mr. Kennedy vs Elijah Burke in the semi. Ha. Way to go, TNA.

What happened to Angle having to beat everyone in the rankings thing to get a title shot? Out the window, is it?

I think that's really harsh, there's never been indications of ego with McGuinness/Wolfe... i'd tend to think the obvious problem is since January, he hasn't been percieved as a "star" by the power players.

This card doesn't excite me at all, but I think it'll suprisingly deliver in most areas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 176 ✭✭danny29

The card isn't too bad at all if you look at it but i do have a problem with them putting angle career on the line. You have got to assume that theres no way Angle would lose in this match since they put his career on line and i think hes gonna win at BFG since hes gonna wipe out whoever stands in front of him in rankings.

I am very happy to see either Anderson or the pope to feature for the title match in Bound for glory main event. This could be the best BFG world title match yet.

I remember reading something on the lines of that maybe not ego but i think some people were complaining he was hard to work with

Possibly someone less versatile grumbling? Or someone who had communication issues with the guy?
Either way, his star has defintely fallen somewhat and it's a real shame. Hopefully he doesn't end up enduring the stop-start career Joe's had there.

Yea possibly , yea he is a good talent and is over as a heel and could do very well (which would help TNA in the UK if he ended up getting the belt in due time)

    Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle
    YES please

    Mr. Anderson vs. The Pope
    YES worth a watch

    Tommy Dreamer vs. AJ Styles
    NO thanks

    Sabu vs. Douglas Williams
    NO thanks

Magnus & Desmond Wolfe vs. The Motor City Machineguns
    YES should be great

    Rhino vs. Abyss
F**K NO, I can't stand these two guys. I'm so glad they're wrestling each other

Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting and Kevin Nash
I guess, kept short and sweet. Is anyone looking forward to this?

Velvet Sky & Angelina Love vs. Madison Rayne & Mystery Woman
    Probably awful.

    ========

That's three good matches, so hopefully it'll be worth a watch. I'm really down on TNA after last week's iMPACT, just doing small stupid things, like having Tenay announce who "they" are, and after Abyss maiming RVD, Rhyno's perfectly fine to just gore him and leave it at that. WTF?!

Paul Heyman brought up a great fact, actually, why IS Abyss so angry? Half of the time he plays a jovial retard.

Well you're in luck because Angle will win it at Bound for Glory. I'm sure by then RVD will be back to feud with Angle.

I still don't get why they didn't wait until BFG, have RVD drop the title to Angle and then give him time off. I'd say there's more than meets the eye with that.

I hope it's not that simple but really it sounds like TNA are retards in that Dixie and Co. just presumed he'd re-sign or wouldn't mind working the extra dates. It's so disheartening that TNA have ran through so many big first-time matches with RVD and Hardy already.

Anyway, on BTR they said that it's the same thing with Flair (in that he worked all of his contracted dates) but TNA didn't mind giving Flair the extra cash per appearance. Speaks huge volumes! Maybe Dixie is just far too easy-going and not business-first approach.

    Quite the opposite actually.

Anderson will beat Angle at BFG and usher in the new era of the nWo2010.
BFG is the night Hogan and Bischoff turn heel, revolt against Dixie and take TNA over. How fitting it is that it happens at the same location as the original nWo formation and on the anniversary too!

I'm looking forward to Angle/Anderson itself though. I thought their bout at Lethal Lockdown was nothing short of superb and definitely worth MOTF contender. Hell, it's got my vote - if you haven't seen it, I genuinely recommend you catch it on Youtube. When Angle was walking out of the cage and Anderson stuck his two fingers up in a bloody mess, that was a true mark-out moment - following by the somersault from the top of the cage..christ, Angle has a broken neck and he's willing to go through hell and high water...what a performance.

Abyss seemingly involves himself in all of this. I'm looking forward to BFG and No Surrender is shaping the road nicely for us. RVD will then come back as the "saviour" of sorts..

That booking is so awful i'm worried it's gonna happen now! n.W.2.0 :pac: As long as Hulk and Flair aren't wrestling at BFG (God, they are, aren't they :() I'll be happy.

But I'm extremely certain Angle is winning the title. Sure if he loses, he's promised to quit TNA; thereby ruining any suspense of who's winning. When he wins the belt, the stip is over and his ability to lose is there again.

lol, i was one among the many here (surprising how many people nominated it) touting the quality of the Anderson/Angle match in the MOTY thread :)

I wish Abyss would get injured or just leave, he's so friggin' stale, and brings down every match he's in :(

I read that Hogan was originally meant to wrestle BFG but after his recent operations of his back, I doubt it'll happen. With Flair, it wouldn't surprise if he had a match (although he's very close to the number of days he can appear on TNA subject to his contract).

Should be a very interesting PPV imo. Looking forward to the Guns/Wolfe and Magnus and the 2 semi-finals matches. Abyss/Rhino, not so much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

My official prediction for 'They' (pretty much entirely based off Abyss' entrance this week) is Vince Russo and/or SEX. I'm actually looking forward to this show, Sabu/Williams could be great depending on Sabu's form. Rhino and Abyss had a great Falls Count Anywhere match at Against All Odds '06 so hopefully they can repeat it here. Styles and Dreamer have been working well together lately and should be able to turn it up a notch or two with the shortcuts.

Nothing needs to be said for the two semis and the tag title match, the Knockouts match will be terrible and most likely overbooked but at least it won't take up too much time and the tag could be decent if Joe and Jarrett have their working boots on and if it's not overbooked.

TNA has announced that London Brawling (Desmond Wolfe and Magnus) have been pulled from tonight's No Surrender PPV in Orlando in what they described as "personal problems." Generation Me will now take their place in facing The Motor City Machineguns for the TNA World Tag Team Championships. We are aware of reports of the weekend with major communication issues between TNA and website staff on the advertising for that match.

Considering it's an eight match show and a lot of the matches most likely won't be too long I'm hoping The Guns/GenMe gets a lot of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 176 ✭✭danny29

Motor city machine guns against generation me? they have never failed delivering expectations..now i'm really looking forward to this show...

What happen if Angle lose tonight(dont think he will) but what if??? will he just banish from TNA?
