winlogon + explorer deleted!!

    So much for AVG being great! it found the viruses which had got into explorer and winlogon and deleted both files, rebooted my laptop and now im getting the Blue S.O.D everytime i try boot up. No safe mode or restore last known config, Nothing works.

    Is there any way i can DL new files, save them onto an external HD and somehow get them into my laptops system folder??

    And why do i never have a windows CD handy!!!

    You may be able to extract those files from a service pack if you haven't the CD.

    Try Microsoft Security Essentials instead.
