    Hi all,

I'm doing IT at the moment and learning Java. I want to get into programming for handheld devices but I know the iPhone doesn't support Java natively.

I've read about a program that converts/compiles Java code into Objective C, I'm just wondering does this actually work well?

I've got a 16GB iPhone 4 as an upgrade and I'm just wondering would I be better off getting a phone on a different platform that supports Java out of the box?

I know I could learn objective c too but i really want to focus on Java and do well.

    Thanks

There is a app called CodeToGo in app store for .79€, that complies the code on the go over the air, i use it most time and it works well.
It's handy for small programme if you want to test some code, but ofcourse it's not same user experience you will get on pc with Eclipse.
