I dont know what the landlord is like or the quality of the apartments or craic but i can tell you its in a great location.Right around the corner from the clubs an supermacs for after club banter ;) an its only about a 5-10 minute walk from campus.

Its in a great location, but in my opinion thats the only good thing about it.
I lived there last year and I was one the many unfortunate residents to suffer from the incompetence of the Landlord. He is the hardest person to get a hold of, and also, I was given the wrong contact number at the start of the year. I also had no hot water all year, yes all year and he never bothered to send someone out to fix it. There are also no locks on the bedroom doors, which I found very unnerving, as I didn't know my roommates prior to my arrival. The heater in our Kitchen/Living Room didnt work and we had no heating what so ever. Over all I would die a happy person if I never had to step foot back into that s**t hole.

i lived in amhra from 2nd to 4th year, if your lucky you'll get an apt on st brendans avenue (i think its called). think they're apts 29 a-f or something. I lived in one of those for 2nd and 3rd year and never had a problem. HOWEVER, last year was an absolute nightmare. I was put into one of the apartments in the block on the left hand side of sleepzone. They have swipe card access to get in your front door which of course stopped working. It took the manager 2 weeks(yes 2 weeks during which one of us had to be at home at all times so we could let each other in as it would take him an average of 4 hours to come and open it manually) to have it replaced. we had no hot water for around 3 months, as he was waiting for his plumber to come back from holidays to replace the element, wouldn't have minded waiting a week but 3 months!!!!! Also when you start to get annoyed with things not being fixed and phone him to chase up on them he starts to avoid your calls.
Amhra could be a lovely place to live, its a great spot and the apartments were lovely, its just let down completely by the manager!

Give it time, the mould will come. Especially if you have one of the houses around the corner. Although I noticed he ditched the curtains which were ****ing disgusting and covered in mould.
