    You may qualify if you:
    • are an employee in paid full-time employment that is expected to last for 3 months,
    • work at least 19 hours every week, or 38 hours every fortnight
    • have an average weekly family income below the amounts allowed
    • have at least one qualified child who normally lives with you or is supported by you. A qualified child is any child under age 18 or aged 18 to 22 if in full-time education.

a child has to be living with you full time or you have to be fully/wholly maintaining the child(you need to be paying maintenance and the person who the child lives with has no income or social welfare payments,if they do you cannot recieve fis for that child).
