They are trials of T2 in operation before it really is in operation.

Why the hell would they allow you airside ????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 453 ✭✭pclive

taken from DAA info on the trial of t2
"As a volunteer you will be asked to act as a passenger and go through the basic processes for a departing and arriving passenger.
As a trial volunteer, you will act as a passenger through the Check-In, Screening, Departures and Arrivals processes."

therefore you will be airside (taking the meaning of airside to be all areas of airport after security clearance)

Got an email at 3pm today but all spaces were taken when I checked at 4:45 :( Will there be further dates? There are 1500 people doing the 9th Oct trial. Have the invites been staggered for particular dates?

    It is what it's.

I'm sorry, I was being facetious. What did you thing Operational Trials were?

If you try and select a date and they are all full then keep checking back for cancellations. When I first tried they were all full, I checked back later last night and got a place on Oct 9th!
