Ahoy. I'm due to be putting on a small exhibition which will consist of projected images in a loop. It will be stationed beside the window in a shop and I'm looking for a material that will allow the images to be seen by those outside as well as those inside. Hence the title, muslin or bedsheet? Anyone have any experience in this regard? Thankee kindly.

I think you will find that the light from the window pretty well wipes out the image however you do it. There is one of those backlit projector setups in the Museum of Treasure in Waterford, for the Marriage of Strongbow and Aoiffe, but it is in a darkish room. They seem to use some sort of muslin, but I could not be certain.
