Have you compared it to other smartphones? side by side I mean?

I didn't buy mobile broadband because my ground floor apartment is like a nuclear bunker. So I didn't buy it...

I had similar issue recently when i went form perfectly good service to No Service in my home, grand in other places. Get in touch with the mods on the O2 forums, they are pretty good. That said tech support never got it resolved so i left the network.

Have you tried updating to OS 4.X?
I am from outside Tullamore and both O2 and Meteor signal was weak at the best of times before upgrading and has improved since upgrading

Had same problem. O2 let me out of my contract because I needed phone to work in teh house and it didn't.
Switch off 3G, helps a little.
