Meteor broadband to go settings?

    Hi guys,

Hoping someone can help. I've got an unlocked Huawei E220 Modem (was on T-Mobile in the UK) and I've got a pay as you go Meteor Micro SIM. The modem accepts the new SIM, but the dialing interface (Web and Walk from T-Mobile) defaults to the old UK number when trying to connect. I've gone into the options settings within the Web and Walk interface and I can add a new connection, but I don't know the Meteor access details.

Does anyone know what they are or does anyone have a Meteor USB Modem which they could check the settings on for me?

    Many Thanks.

I think the phone number should be the same regardless of provider "*99#" if memory serves me.

The only other thing to know then is the APN name. Googling reveals "isp.mymeteor.ie" and "data.mymeteor.ie".

Try both of those and post back.

Thanks for the pointer in the right direction jpl888, those APN's didn't work but a bit more googling and I found the right one! (broadband.mymeteor.ie)

All up and running now! :)

    You're welcome. How's Meteor's coverage these days?

I'm in Dalkey, so not great but adequate enough to get by. Getting about 1Mb at the mo, but this area is known as a bit of a blackspot. Thanks again for the pointer.

With me it varied on time of day amongst other things. The wildly variable latency is the killer though.

I know this is an old thread but might be useful to someone out there.

I have an old Eircom Mobile USB stick and went into the meteor shop in Galway this morning to see if I could use a Meteor To Go PAYG sim in it. The guy thought it might work and gave me a sim to try. Couldn't get it working so rang customer services and they told me "No way wont work. You need a Meteor Stick which we will be happy to supply to you at a price" I then found this thread and he ho, using the settings described above here I am now using a Meteor Broadband To Go SIM in a Eircom Mobile USB Stick. Ain't technology wonderful.
