My Mrs is a fashion buyer and I can safely tell you that the markup is massive on clothing. Can't quote percentages off the top of my head but knowing a few lads who work in golf retail, that's where their money is made as the markup on clubs is tiny in comparison.

I work in golf retail and have done so for 20+ years......and I can safely tell you we don't make 200% margin on clothing. be pretty sweet if we did. I agree with you that some of the fashion houses mark up by up to 400%, but as you are aware mark up and margin are 2 different things.

I bow to your superior knowledge. I was going on a friend of mines info that the rag trade marked up 200%, obviously the golf world dont. Apologies for any upset I've caused.

Hell yeah! Are these the in-store price do you know or web specials? Might drop into Blanchardstown on Friday and take a look, some great value there.
