    Games development.

Being in a room full of 18 year olds does sound like a real hoot al right.

I'll just pretend I'm a big fan of home and away, should be fine .

Oh crap, I better set up a face book account as well (I'm really that old).

    B. Ed. in St Pats, at 31, can't wait, should be a good challenge.

I grew up near Drumcondra, so walking back into Quinns after not having been there for 15 years might be a bit much for me!!

Think I'll stick to the vast array of old man pubs Drumcondra has to offer and "let the youngsters at it...":D

Science (common entry) in DCU for me. I'll be 29 when I start so it's going to be a bit strange having to take classes with a bunch of 18 year olds!

As someone who stands in front of a class, I can promise you that teachers are usually glad to see a few older students. Don't think you have to dumb down, let them come up to you.

When you think of it, the 18 year old have been at the top of the tree in school, now they are the youngsters in the room, they will adjust to whatever standard is established. And by now you can ignore the few (very few) super-cool messers, they are the ones that will have to get their act together.

Even the 18 year olds have worked hard for their place though, and the vast majority are there to do their best, I think you will find it fairly difficult to decide who is 18 and who is 23.

    Good luck.

And Good Luck to you too!:) I'm not sure how many mature places were reserved as its a brand new course, I'll find out though when I start...its probably a small amount like the same course in DCU, which has 5 places for matures.

Best of luck everyone. I'm doing Social Work in UCC. I also got offered Social Care in CIT. I wasn't sure for ages which I would actually do, but after a lot of thinking and talking to people I decided on the Social Work. Dreading it to be honest, even though there were lots of lovely people at the interviews.

B.Ed in Pats. Should be a blast.

I was talking to an 18 year old girl at the picnic at the weekend and when I told her I was going back as a mature student she replied "Don't worry, there's loads of people your age that go back for that course".

So after I left a gypsy curse on her family I decided that if I'm going down, I'm going down in a blaze of glory!!!!

The only thing that's keeping me going is that Matthew Perry passed as an 18 year old in that school in Beverly Hills 90210. He had a leather jacket and convinced everyone that he was the same age as them, even though he obviously wasn't. People in that show became so awkward with the fact that a 40 year old was pretending to be an 18, that they just ignored it. I'm going to go with the same tactics.
