    hey all,

i dropped my ipod video on the ground and it landed straight onto the headphone input and broke the headphone jack. as a result the ipod only plays in mono rather than stereo. i have taken it apart to see if it was a quick fix but i can't see anything that is broken. does anyone know where i can get replacement internal parts for an ipod video? this is the type of ipod i have for anyone who is unfamiliar.

or does anyone know where i can get it fixed? as i have tried mactivate in blanch and they said no!

i appreciate any info you may have for me.

    barry.

To be honest it sounds like repairing it would cost the same as buying at least a 2nd hand one. I've a broken one and you're welcome to have it free for salvage if that's any use.

well the problem is that all the music on the ipod is not on my mac as i got a new laptop recently, i do not know how to transfer music from the ipod to itunes on a mac as i used to have a pc before this. if someone knew how to transfer music between the two then it would me out, as i could then get a new ipod!

is your broken ipod the same as the one in my link above?

It should be straight forward unless the Mac wipes it first before syncing which I think it will. Not the same model, sorry.

i tried using senuti to transfer music, but the free version only lets you transfer 1000 songs, i have roughly 5000 on it at the moment, do you know of any transfer software that allows you to transfer that many songs?
