Well i dont know for sure but I doubt Paypal pass on any information.

We have a self assessment system in Ireland so the onus is on the taxpayer to declare any income to the Revenue.

If you were found to be not declaring ebay income, then it would be you and not Paypal who would be liable to interest and penalties and at worse case possible prosecution

As above the self employed system in Ireland is self assessment so you are responsible for calculating and paying your own tax. The revenue choose certain areas of the world of business and focus on them. If they chose paypal any Irish traders not declaring their income would likely be caught.

But surely there is a monthly limit and paypal or ebay would only notify revenue of people making more than that limit... does anyone know if thats the case and if so what is the limit?
