Sync Iphone 4 with Outlook Q

How can you direct what outlook file to sync an Iphone 4 with? I use a server for my Iphone, but my itunes is on my local machine. It seems that it looks for my Outlook.pst file on the local machine only, can I direct it to where my outlook.pst file resides? Thanks
