Ax Paris Problem

    Hi,

On 12 August I bought a dress from Axparis.co.uk for £19.95 GBP, my order was cancelled by them (I don't know why) and they emailed me the following day (13 Aug) to tell me my order was cancelled.

On the 13th I tried to re-order, but my order was cancelled immediately and no payment was taken.

The payment for my order on 12th is still pending (yes, nearly two weeks later) no money has been taken and I (obviously) don't know when/if it will be taken.

I went into the bank twice about this and they say there is nothing they can do as the payment is still pending and we don't know if/when any money will be taken from my account.

The total in Euros was €24.18 (iirc) as that's what it's showing up as on the bank's system (at least that what the guy in the bank told me).

I have emailed AxParis about this 2-3 times but have never received any reply from them. There isn't any contact number for them on their website either.

Another girl in the bank said I could call Ulster Bank Fraud Dept, but she said they probably wouldn't do anything.

Can anyone help me? Is there anything the bank can do (but aren't telling me about)?

    Thanks.

Credit cards are not dealt with at branch level, so there's no point in talking to them about it. You need to ring the credit card department of the bank.

Until the charge actually goes through, there's not a lot they can do either. You provided your detail to the merchant, and it's up to the merchant to stop the transaction. It's not fraud either, because they haven't actually charged you anything, and you gave them the details anyway.

I used a Visa Debit Card, not a credit card, sorry I should have stated that in my OP. My mistake.

Thanks for your reply Jor El.

Day 13 and the payment is STILL pending, ffs.

Is there anything the bank/ I can do? I have emailed AxParis again and still no reply.

    Thanks.
