So I've had my PS3 for about 3 weeks now and I've noticed that it gets incredibly hot after a short amount of time which can't be good for the machine so I was looking around and came across this and was wondering if anyone has used this particular cooling fan and what do they think of it?

TBH I reckon the on board fan should be sufficient providing its working. I heard people say before that having a external fan would be putting extra pressure on the on-board fan.
I think as long as there enough room around the unit to get air, it should be fine. I had no problems yet anyway and hope it stays that way.

Just make sure its not in a tight space in a cabinet or something like all electronics it needs to breathe. Mostly those fans are a waste of money.

Ya I went from a 40gb to a slim and worried about the heat for weeks but it's normal. Better that the heat is coming out through the casing rather than staying inside. I don't even notice it now cause I'm used to it. Jst make sure it's not stacked on other electronics and it's in an open space and I'm sure it'll be fine.
